AIG Claims It Must Pay Out $165 Million in Bonuses

"Insurer AIG, whose business has been shored up by $170 billion in federal funds, says it is proceeding with $165 million in bonuses to, as the NY Times puts it, "executives in the same business unit that brought the company to the brink of collapse last year." Last week, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told AIG it had to scale back its compensation, but, in a letter yesterday to Geithner, AIG CEO Edward Libby cited legal obligations saying its "hands are tied" and said the government's involvement would make it difficult for the company to retain its best employees. Um, wouldn't most people would understand not getting bonuses for crappy performance? Also, the Wall Street Journal says that bonuses total...$450 million. Naturally, this hits the sweet spot of the government (and public) railing against crazy bonuses—Rep. Barney Frank wants to find out if the bonuses are recoverable. .....it seems like there would be some way or someone in government to prevent them from being able to frivolously disperse this much money to people who fucked everything up to begin with...meanwhile the unemployment rate continues to creep up, subway tolls are skyrocketing, while service is being drastically reduced, that is enough money to send almost everyone a considerably sized check, utterly ridiculous and pure evil i tell you

March Madness

so its my birthday month!  its also the inverse of my birthday its also Friday the 13th but i aint superstitious so what of it...anyway this month always reminds me of when i was little, feeling like my special day was everyday, anticipating birthday gifts and pink strawberry cake, and these days I'm on a sugar, alcohol, red meat, pork and just about anything edible fast, the only thing I'm anticipating that is remotely sweet is dried mango, or organic apples-oh and gifts? In this economy? Puhleaaase! Well my significant other IS getting me a mountain/road bike so I do have that to look forward to...but the best gift this month that I am anticipating right now is something that only I can gift to me...more finished songs, networking, and harmonius mental/physical health....that is sure to put a smile on my face and make me feel like celebrating. If i keep this up I'll have a bday 365 a year! 

WOW J*Davey was the shit

So i just got home from the show. I hadn't had the pleasure of seeing DJ Amanda Diva perform and she is a powerful perfomer, her flow is sick! I will be keeping an eye out for more from her who knows maybe soon I'll be perfoming at one of these shows with these two talented artists. Really though,  I am extra thrilled about the night since J*Davey absolutely killed it. Then on top of all that, me and my girl Remi rushed the stage with a few other lucky peeps and danced to Mister Mister. HOT* aah i am officially satisfied 

They definitely didn't disappoint and to' it up to be more succinct.  Super chill and sexy show Got a pic of me and Miss Jack Davey coming real soon! And hopefully i can find someone who got a pic of me grooving onstage during Mister Mister to cop somewhere online. You know there will be alot of bloggin, and myspacing with those pics so if anyone has a pic of the Webster Hall concert 3/7, i was the super souled out amazon chocolate thang wit the electric plum tunic and moccassin boots that rushed the stage and wound it down, and up and around and down some more....shoot a sister over a pic will ya?
